Dichotomy

Connecticut's all original Progressive Metal band, Agrippa93, releases their new, self-produced full-length album entitled Dichotomy. Packed with a diverse arrangement of songs that push the band into a new era of sophistication, Dichotomy delivers an evolved Agrippa93 featuring music that represent the band's natural progression and distinct sound. A93 was founded as a solo project by lead singer, composer and producer Agrippa in 2004. A long-time musician with a special interest in digital production, Agrippa began releasing original Industrial charged Metal songs exclusively through the Internet sparking online interest. With growing demand for live performances, Agrippa sought out other like-minded musicians to contribute creatively, refine the Agrippa93 sound, and expand their song catalog. With the new solidified and current lineup established, 2010 marked a new direction for the band as a collaborative music force embracing a shift from an industrial dominated sound toward Progressive Industrial Metal. Described as a conglomeration of Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Rammstein, Agrippa93 has produced signature sounding music, making them stand out in a flooded marked of local Connecticut metal. Songs such as 'Longing for Silence' and 'Pale Horse' demonstrate that A93 have evolved far beyond any previous incarnation in the band's history. From the Hartford, CT area, A93's Progressive Metal sound is infused with elements of Industrial, making them far from the average metal band on the scene today. Through internet radio and live performances, they have carved a name for themselves throughout Connecticut's live music scene, opening for national acts such as QUEENSRYCHE, FEAR FACTORY, PRONG, COMBICHRIST, and more. Agrippa93 lyrically delves into the darker side of human psychology with songs like Distant Dark, Longing for Silence, and Edge of Sanity, along with subject matters including mysticism, science fiction, mythology, and government corruption.
