Schismogenesis

Grinding guitars. Thundering bass and drums. Powerful vocals. Everything you would expect from a loud rock n roll band. But there is more to Afterblack. The lyrics are thoughtful and interesting, the arrangements often unexpected, and the songs are collectively quite catchy. Hailing from the city of Waterville Maine, Afterblack have been playing for a mere 6 months in this incarnation of the band whose members have been around the New England scene for about 4 years. But make no mistake, this is not an album filled with amatuer rock n rollers. These guys know how to do it, and do it well.
