    大学生の青山霜介が、バイト先で出会った水墨画の大家・篠田湖山をきっかけに、水墨画に没頭していくお話しです。描かれる人間関係も面白いです。水墨画にまったく興味がない人も、この本と、水墨画に魅了されると思います。主人公の青山君の、観察力と優しさが、読んでいて驚くほどです。こんなに丁寧に人を見ている人はいるのでしょうか。その観察力が、水墨画に繋がっていきます。本にある水墨画は作者の砥上さんの作品です。何度も読みたくなる作品です。
