    直木賞作家が残したある意味伝説の一冊。なぜかキャンプで陸上自衛隊に体験入隊して訓練を積んでいる長嶋巨人軍、なぜか地震の後に戦国時代に飛ばされていた長嶋巨人軍。そのあたりの説明はあまりないけどあまりの勢いで考えさせる暇を与えてくれないのもある意味、作家の力量というものなのかもしれない。今川郡を戦車でぶっ飛ばし、信長の客将となり、そこから野球を戦国時代に広め始める。シンプルだけど度肝を抜かれ続けるストーリーで最後まで読み通してしまえる。ただ最後はまだ続きそうなのにこの単発だけで終わっちゃうのが惜しい。
