　バッハも好んだというリュートハープシコード（ラウテンヴェルク）によるヴァイスのリュート曲集である。リュートハープシコードは少し乾いた音がするが、ハープシコードよりも優しく典雅な響きがする。音色はハープシコードと同じで均一ではっきりしているが、音の強弱はない。このため単調な演奏になりがちだが、テンポのゆっくりした曲でその長所が引き出せるように思われる。リュートは音の強弱や微妙な音色の変化を出せ、素早い音の流れも軽やかに出せるので、リュートハープシコードよりも音は小さいが、表情豊かな音楽表現ができるのが良い。というわけで、普段はリュートで聞き、時々気分を変えてリュートハープシコードで聞くようにするのがいいかなと思う。
