The works on this recording were performed in concert at the OSM’s new home, the Maison symphonique de Montreal, in September 2011, as part of CBC's 75th anniversary celebrations.

The Montreal pianist and composer Alain Lefevre pursues a brilliant international career. This is the first complete recording of the original 1926 version of Rachmaninov's lesser known 4th Piano concerto.
