This memorial concert celebrating the bicentenary of Haydn’s death took place at Schloss Esterhazy in Eisenstadt, the very place where this prolific composer wrote and performed the majority of his works. With Fischer conducting the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic - already recipients of two ECHO Klassik awards for their Haydn recordings - and in the company of three distinguished soloists, they perform The Creation, arguably the composer’s most beloved work of all time.
