Product Description

While their mother is in the hospital, Satsuki and her little sister Mei are taken by their professor father to an old house in the country. While walking in the forest with her sick mother on her mind, Mei accidentally encounters a family of giant round rabbit-like creature, Totoro. Tototo, who cannot be seen by adults, becomes friends with Satsuki and Mei and takes them on a magical ride through the countryside via a Catbus, cat-like, multi-legged creature.

Almost 15 years since its appearance, My Neighbor Totoro still remains the most popular Mizaki's movie. In truth, the movie may well be the best ever made by the filmmaker. Set in the disappearing countryside, the movie centers on the innocent sister's love for mother, nature and friend, Totoro.

【ストーリー】
「そりゃスゴイ、お化け屋敷に住むのが父さんの夢だったんだ」と、こんなことを言うお父さんの娘が、小学六年生のサツキと四歳のメイ。このふたりが、大きな袋にどんぐりをいっぱいつめた、たぬきのようでフクロウのようで、クマのような、へんないきものに会います。ちょっと昔の森の中には、こんなへんないきものが、どうもいたらしいのです。でも、よおく探せばまだきっといる。見つからないのは、いないと思いこんでいるから。
