    ゴーギャンの絵は十代の頃から好きだった。 　楽園タヒチを描いているはずなのに土着の悪魔にとり憑かれたようなどきついタッチが強烈な吸引力となって一度心を捉えたら離さない。 　話的に「アマデウス」のモーツアルトを彷彿とさせ、破滅型の天才を描いた小説としては少しステレオタイプであったのが残念だが、七月のゴーギャン展に行く予定の人はより理解を深めると言う意味で一読を薦める。
