Product Description

Teenagers in Japan are dying in mysterious circumstances, a current urban myth points to a mysterious video tape that is passing from hand to hand, after the viewer has watched it they suddenly die seven days to the minute. A reporter learns of the story and decides to investigate, managing to get hold of the tape she foolishly decides to watch it, then the race is on the find out the truth and the origins of the tape before time runs out. The terror of the film comes from the melding of the supernatural and current technology; the film builds an all-encompassing mood of doom that unnerves you while never relying on quick thrills and cheap gore.

ジャパニーズホラーの元祖と言ってもいいか...

ジャパニーズホラーの元祖と言ってもいいかもしれないこの映画は、全体的に暗い雰囲気ですが不思議と観ていて沈む気分にはなりません。恐怖シーンがちょうどいい具合に散りばめられていて飽きずに観ていられます。リングシリーズの中で一番好きです。

これぞ日本が誇る和風ホラーという印象です。とても世界観や物語の完成度が高く、少しずつ真相に近づくにつれて恐怖感が増してきます。瞬間的な怖さではなく、じわじわくる感じの怖さです。 数ある中でもこの作品は飛びぬけてると感じます。

日本ホラー映画といえばリングだと思います。本当に怖いので、怖がりな方は夜よりも昼に見ることをオススメします。映像も全体的に暗い感じに仕上がっていて、序盤からリングの持つ独特の雰囲気に飲み込まれます。後を引く怖さで思い出すだけでも未だに怖いです。
