ホイットニーが亡くなってから１週間経ちましたがマイケルの時のような連日大きな報道でもないからかまだ実感がわきません。でも海外では旧譜のセールスが上がってるそうですし、これからホイットニーを聴き始める人には便利な１枚ものベストがこちら。彼女の歌唱力は誰もが認める所ですが、かつてのアリスタ・レコード周年記念コンサートでの「グレイテスト〜」は忘れられない名唱。ＮＨＫの地上波でも放送されたので観た方もおられるでしょうが、５分弱のオリジナルを８分近くに崩し、フェイクから立ち振る舞いまでもう“完璧”なパフォーマンスでした。欧ではＣＤＳに収められた程で、この時の映像はおそらく正規にはＤＶＤになっておらず、幻のパフォーマンスですがいつかどこかで機会があれば必見です。ブッ飛びますよ。ベスト盤としては内容の濃い『グレイテスト・ヒッツ』がオススメですが、こちらはマライアとの世紀（末）のデュエットが入っているのがミソ。

以前購入したべスト盤を手ばなしましたが、久しぶりに聞きたくなり、購入しました。やはり、歌唱力、曲と時代を超えた名曲ばかりですね！！早く完全復活して欲しいです。そして生で一度歌声を聞いてみたいです。
