Its the 50th anniversary of the album with which the Moody Blues fused psychedelia, symphonic music (courtesy of the London Festival Orchestra), rock power and pop hooks, scoring an international smash and establishing their career in the process. Their classic hits Tuesday Afternoon and Nights in White Satin were born right here on one of the most ambitious and successful pop albums of its time. Perhaps fans have heard the rumblings: one particularly exciting thing about this anniversary reissue is the newly restored 1967 original stereo mix, which hasnt been heard since 72 due to a damaged master tape.
