Product Description

An epic theme has been produced in the Rubycon River. The river is known for the ancient Roman Empire of Julius Caesar and his exploits to conquer the world. A popular work, this album became the Virgin Records 2nd chart topper for Tangerine Dream. This album also won the UK chart's 12th position top 20 position. Packaged in a Cardboard sleeve reissue from Tangerine Dream it features SHM-CD format and HR cutting using 2015 DSD master based on the UK original analog master. Also features an obi replicating the one with the Japanese LP. Comes with a description. This series features the following albums Phaedre, Rubycon, Ricochet, and Stratosfear.

表現内容は一大傑作の名に恥じないが、リマスターが十二年も昔のものとは恐れ入る。これもRoxy Music同様新たにリマスターを施すべき。

フェードラ、ルビコン、リコシェの３作品は彼等の即興演奏によるシンセ・リズムの最高峰。最近発売されたブートレグでもこの時代の演奏はスリリングで同じものがない。現在のトランス、アンビエントの音楽家達も遠く及ばない創造性を発揮している。幻想性、神秘性、および先進性において当時のジャーマン・プログレッシヴ・ロックの筆頭であった。テクノ・ポップの元祖と呼ぶには余りにも深く、現代音楽にもリンクする幅広い音楽性がたまらない。

たしかに名盤には違いないが、『ツァイト』『アテム』の高みには及ばないように思われる。しかも１９９５年度のディジタルリマスターだよ！最新式でもっと音の解像度を高めて欲しかったな、もう買ってしまったが。
