2007年に亡くなったジョー・ザヴィヌルの意思を継ぎ、パコ・セリー、サビーネ・カボンゴ、ジョルジュ・ベゼーラ等、ザヴィヌル・シンジケート出身者を中心に2009年結成された「シンジケート」。本作は、2012年、生誕80周年を記念して、ザヴィヌルの楽曲をプレイした作品。キーボードはディー・ディー・ブリッジウォーターとの共演や、リュック・ベッソン監督映画への音楽提供で知られるティエリー・エリスが担当。ザヴィヌル・ミュージックがここに再び蘇る。
