ツェッペリンを熱心に聞いたことがない自分にとってはコチラの方が歳を重ねた分しっくりくるというか。１０年後も２０年後も愛聴しているであろう名盤。

Led Zepperlinにはどうしても馴染めなかった自分にとって、このアルバムは驚きの内容だった。ロバート・プラントのヴォーカルがなんとも官能的で肉感的で色気があって、魅力がある。Led Zepperlinにぴんと来ない人もぜひ聴いてみる価値のあるアルバムです。

ロバート・プラントとアリソン・クラウスが組んだアルバム。 素晴らしき作品だ。全体を通して、アコースティックな落ち着いた楽曲で、「Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us」の様に、マンドリン（と思われる）等の楽器も使用し、神秘的かつ民族的なパートも随所に登場。イギリスの地方特有のメロディが舞い、その地域の風土や伝統・雰囲気を全面に発する作品である。デュエット曲は勿論、各人がソロで歌う曲やアップテンポな⑤も聴き所。 ハードロック、ブルーズ、カントリー等を期待して買うと、落胆するかも知れないが、ベテランならではの余裕と落ち着きを感じる本作品を堪能しましょう。
