Product Description

This is the album that paved the way for a new beginning for Pendragon. It won Best Album of The Year by Classic Rock Society and contains the audience favorite Indigo. Pure brought a horde of new fans from the harder rock arena to the band and topped many independent polls as Album Of The Year. Pendragon played at Loreley Festival, Germany July 17th 2015 with Camel, Fish, Steve Hackett and the Ramblin Man Festival in Kent July 25th with Camel, Marillion, Scorpions. Gregg Allman.

Pendragonのイメージを覆す問題作だ。彼らの特徴である美メロ系シンフォニックロックを期待して聴くと大火傷してしまう。重戦車のようにハードでシリアスな感触の曲がいくつもあり、ヴォコーダーのかかったNick BarrettのVocalは彼らのアルバムを聴き続けてきたファンには相当ショッキングだ。美しい音の壁を聴かせていたClive Nolanのkeyboardsも心なしか控えめに感じる。まぁ確かにこれまでの彼らの路線も正直マンネリ化していたわけで、そう考えるとこの変化も必然か。とはいえ、従来の路線が好きなファンにとっては評価の難しい作品といえるだろう。

ペンドラゴンと言えばファンタジーのような美しい音楽と言うイメージでしたがこれは異色の作品と言えるかも知れない。 　緊張感あふれる迫力の演奏を聴かしてくれます。 ペンドラゴンってこんなハードな演奏もできるんだと驚きました。 　ペンドラゴンは奥の深いバンドなんですね。 違和感感じる人もいるかも知れないけれどこのかっこよさは最高です。
