これでこそ、ポール・ウェラーだ!!今作は、間違いなく彼の音楽史の中で３本の指に入る傑作。しかもそれが、“円熟”や“老成”とはほど遠く、特に洗練されてもいない。どちらかといえばブサイクで、ハード・エッジというよりは切れ味の悪い蛮刀or鈍器で「現実という名のカベ」をボッコンボッコン殴って･･･でも、キズひとつつかずに煩悶してるかのような冒頭数曲(重く粘っこいガナリ系ミディアム・ソウル）。このほとばしる熱さこと、あのポール・ウェラーに違いない！
