前作の名作『バンド・オン・ザ・ラン』に続き、ポール・マッカートニーとウィングスが1975年に発表したアルバム。ウィングスでは4枚目、ポールのソロ作としては通算6作目となる。金星と火星にみたてた球体のジャケットも印象的な一枚。前作での曲ごとの構成力が増強された感もあり、いわゆるトータル的な作風となっている。アレンジャー、プロデューサーとしてのポールの力量は、やはりさすが。
