Product Description

Jack Torence (Jack Nicholson) gets a job as a winter caretaker of an old hotel, he travels there to live with his wife and young son. Once there, they are the only occupants and soon become cut off from the outside world by the heavy snow. The son Danny has clairvoyant powers and starts to see the ghosts that haunt the hotel, the same ghosts that are visiting his father, driving him slowly mad. One of Nicholson's greatest performances and one of Kubrick s most memorable films, there is a slow brooding in the build up to the shocking finale where Jack takes matters into his own hands.
