ムーンドッグの音楽

「ムーンドッグ」とはマンハッタンの路上で暮らし、ユニークな角付きの兜と衣装で「6番街のヴァイキング」として知られた盲目の作曲家ルイス・トーマス・ハーディン[1916-1999]のこと。その美しく心に残る印象的な音楽はフィリップ・グラスやスティーヴ・ライヒにインスピレーションを与え、彼のことを「ミニマリズムのゴッドファーザー」と呼ぶ人もいます。
　ブルックリンを拠点とするゴースト・トレイン・オーケストラと伝説的なクロノス・カルテットとのコラボレーションとして発案されたこのプロジェクトは、マリッサ・ナドラー、ジョーン・ワッサー（別名ポリス・ウーマン）、ジャービス・コッカーらが多数のアーティストが参加し、ムーンドッグの音楽を現代によみがえらせています。（輸入元情報）
