Standard single disc. Digitally remastered edition of Metallica's 1983 debut album. Kill 'Em All is regarded as a groundbreaking album for thrash metal because of it's precise musicianship, which fuses New Wave of British Heavy Metal riffs with hardcore punk tempos. It's musical approach and lyrics were markedly different from rock's mainstream of the early '80s and inspired a number of bands who followed in similar manner. Metallica is easily one of the best, most influential heavy metal band of the '80s. Responsible for bringing the genre back to Earth, the band mates looked and talked like they were from the street, shunning the usual rockstar games of metal musicians during the early '80s. They expanded the limits of thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions.

2016年輸入盤リマスターと2010年に出た国内...

2016年輸入盤リマスターと2010年に出た国内盤紙ジャケリマスターを聞き比べてみましたが個人的にはほとんど違いはないように感じられました。輸入盤のほうがギターの音がやや強調されているような音で国内盤のほうがドラムの音などの抜けが良くなっているように感じました。どちらかのリマスターを持っていれば買い替える必要はないかと思います。

血染めのハンマーのジャケに訳せば皆殺しのアルバムタイトルと収められた原初的サウンド、向かうべき方向性がハッキリとしたアルバム。 ムステインの作曲の曲が幾つかあるがこの４人だからこそ生まれた記念碑的作品。

当時　ジャケットを見て気に入りLPを買った。最初針を落とした時の興奮は何十年たった今でも、覚えている。その後ＣＤ、紙ジャケ、ＳＨＭ−ＣＤとすべて持ってる。何万回聞いたことか・・・。粗いし、ジェームスの声も当然若い、音も軽いでも、これがスラッシュだよ！このリフがメタリカだよ！No Remorse、Seek And Destroy、Metal Militiaは特に好きだ。コンサートの定番Seek And Destroyは鳥肌もんだね。このアルバムはスラッシュ好きのためのアルバムだよ。
