Product Description

Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of this 1976 album from the British Folk/Rock band. The album was the first by the band for some years and was the reforming of the group who had enjoyed hit singles and albums in the early part of the decade. Produced by Gus Dudgeon, Back and Fourth featured the hit single 'Run for Home' written by Alan Hull and marked a return to form for the Newcastle group. This reissue is re-mastered, includes two bonus tracks and a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork and features a new essay. Esoteric.

オリジナルメンバーでの再結成作第１弾。ブランクのおかげか、名曲RUN　FOR　HOMEをはじめ練り上げられた楽曲のクオリティの高さはただ事ではありません。初期に比べてトラッド、フォーク的要素が薄くなっていくこれ以降の作品は残念なことに一般的な評価は低いのですが、常に楽曲を生かすことを第一に考えられたアレンジと演奏で、この後もいわゆる佳作を連発していきます。
