It is almost impossible to imagine a more enjoyable operetta than the one afforded by this DVD. With a great musical score, clever script and a supremely romantic story, this is one DVD no one will regret buying. Eberhard Waechter gives a wonderfully rounded performance as the count. Lilian Sukis looks and sings like a million dollars. Who can ever forget her ”Soll Ich? Soll Ich nicht?” The operetta is shot as a movie, and escapes wonderfully well from the contraints of a stage performance. Fabulous!
