ジャネットのアルバムの中で一番緩急のバランスがいいと思います。アップテンポでもメロディアスな曲が多い印象です。

ジャネットの21世紀の幕開けを飾ったアルバム。しっとり情感溢れ出るミディアムテンポの曲が多いが、訳詩を読むと赤面ものの露骨なセックス謳歌WOULD YOU MIND、ポップでアッパーなクラブチューンCOME ON GET UP、クラシックとハードロックを融合させたようなTRUST A TRYなど、バラエティーに富んだ楽曲もあり。また誰もが知ってるであろう名曲、DOESN'T REALLY MATTERをはじめとして、ポップでキャッチーなALL FOR YOUやSOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVERも収録。「Janet.」や「Velvet rope」にも劣らない充実した一枚だった。

本当に素晴らしい名盤だとおもう！前半ﾀﾞﾝｽ系ﾅﾝﾊﾞｰは春の風にたゆたうﾀﾝﾎﾟﾎﾟの種子のように軽やかで、艶やかな中盤を経て、後半のﾊﾞﾗｰﾄﾞは緑薫る初夏の雨粒のように爽やかだ。
