This is a reissue of Gerald Alston's first solo album that has released after he left a popular R&B vocal group, The Manhattans. He was a lead vocalist in a group and made couple hit songs including "Kiss and Say Goodbye" and "Shining Star".
This solo album was originally released in 1988. The producuer is the members of By All Means.

まったくそのとおりです。本当にうまい。正統派のsoulの伝承者です。傑作です。R＆Bでは2000年前後にsoulに回帰する傾向があり、なかなかうまい人もいたのですが、Gerald Alstonのsoulfulかつ繊細！な歌唱にくらべれば子供同然であることがわかります。このあとの作品が廃盤などとは大きな損失です。soul、R＆Bを聞くと辞任する人は是非とも聞いておかないと道をまちがえるといっても過言ではないでしょう。usherに爪の垢を煎じて飲ませたい。

80年代ソウルの超名盤。リマスターの様なので新たに買いたい。発売当時、イーグルスの名作カバー7.が評判になりました。バイオールミーンズのバックアップも素晴らしく、とにかく最高です。当時発売された彼のソロ作は、どれも傑作とのレベルの高さでしたが、残念なことに今では全て廃盤となっているようです。これを機会に是非とも再発して欲しいし、本作含めソウル名盤の再発企画、とにかく支持します。NE-YO、JOEなどが好きな若いリスナーにも絶対聞いて欲しい。絶対に。
