64年全米4位を記録した「We’ll Sing in the Sunshine」を含むヒット彼女の代表アルバムの嬉しい復刻CD化。ハスキー・ヴォイスが売りのフォーク歌手。
1964年全米4位を記録する大ヒット。日本でも人気があるオールディーズ名曲のこの1曲、もともと女優から始まった彼女は「サンセット77」などTV、映画、舞台で活動。また声優としてもピンク・パンサー等に出演するなどマルチ・タレントとしての才女。その後自作のこの曲でRCAよりデビューする。
フォーク・ソングスと付くタイトルだがポップでキャッチーな曲が多く、よりポップ・アルバムに近い、名盤。
翌年グラミー・ベスト・フォーク・レコーディング賞も獲得。
本CDにはアルバム未収録の代表曲2曲が加わった嬉しいCD化。
