「アンド・アイ・ラヴ・ユー・ソー」「思い出のグリーングラス」等の名曲を含む、40歳の円熟したエルヴィスの名唱を収録した晩年を代表する作品。
●1975年3月10日〜13日かけてハリウッドRCAスタジオでレコーディング。前年の1974年はコンサートに明け暮れ、年155回ものライヴをこなし、スタジオ録音の機会がなかった(デビュー以来、ステジオ録音をしなかったのはこの年と亡くなった77年のみ）。
●1974年後半から1975年前半には体調を崩し、2月に退院したエルヴィスにとって久しぶりのレコーディングとなった。
●1、4を除き、カヴァー曲で占められた楽曲を滋味豊かな歌声で聴かせる晩年の代表作。
●1976年以降、正規のスタジオ・レコーディングを行うことがなかった為、結果的に本作が自らスタジオに出向いてレコーディングをした最後のアルバムとなった。
