1972年作品。ワーナーでの2作の後、モーリスとヴァーディンのホワイト兄弟以外のメンバーを入れ替えて発表したコロンビアでの初作。この後EW&Fの核となるフィリップ・ベイリー、ラリー・ダン、ラルフ・ジョンソンの加入もここからで、本作のみロニー・ロウズ（sax,flute）が参加しているのも話題か。ワーナー時代に引き続きジョー・ウィザートの制作で、イナタいジャズ・ファンク～ブラス・ロック感を引きずっているが、マイルス・デイビス『ビッチェズ・ブリュー』と同じ画家によるジャケットも含めて、マイルスのファンク化に刺激されてもいたのだろう。一方でブレッドのM4「二人の架け橋」やピート・シーガーのM9「花はどこへいったの」を取り上げ、ポップ度も向上。後者ではフィリップのファルセットが活躍する。〔全米87位・R&B15位〕

ﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ作～15作目まで全て購入しました｡作品ごとにｼﾞｬｹｯﾄの厚みが異なるため収納ﾗｯｸの中へ発売順に並べると見た目のﾊﾞﾗﾝｽが少し悪くなります(笑) それにしてもﾒｰｶｰ側の策略は綿密に練られており去年のﾎｰﾙ＆ｵｰﾂと同様で既製品を紙ｼﾞｬｹ化すれば特に中高年の世代が大人買いするのを見越しているようです(笑)
