元ジプシー・キングスのチコが結成したチコ＆ザ・ジプシーズの新作がソニー・フランスよりリリース。バンドは一昨年結成20周年を迎えたが、いまだ精力的に活動を続けており、世界各国で人気を博している。日本でも毎年のように来日公演を行っており、2014年12月にもブルーノート東京で熱狂的なライヴを展開したばかり。1年振りとなる本作はラテン系を中心に彼らと交流のあるミュージシャンとのコラボーレション作品。本家Billy Paulと共演した「Me and Mrs Jones」、Nuno Resendeと共演したイーグルスの名曲「Hotel California」、ピアソラ作のタンゴの人気曲「Libertango」、スティングの名曲「シェイプ・オブ・マイ・ハート」のスパニッシュ・ヴァージョン「Las Cartas」などのカヴァー曲も収録されており、聴きどころ満載。
