Anticipation? Step this way. Because anything that the Chemical Brothers put their name to has most of clubland and all of the media champing at the bit like a gang of racehorses on a diet of sand.
The album's opening track is, frankly, stunning. 'Come With Us' sets off at a brutal pace in a whirling upward spiral of keyboard arpeggios and doubling, tripling, quadrupling drum-rolls that are genuinely breath-taking. 'It Began In Afrika' and 'Star Guitar' you'll alreadybe familiar with, whilst the rest of the album storms past in a storm of mutant disco, Balearic foolin' and electro breakdowns. Furthermore, there are less collaborations than on recent albums, with Tom and Ed preferring to hone their own take on what ranges from a kind of twisted, psychedelic folk to some of the most forward-thinking dance music ever produced. The Brothers work it out again.

Star Guitarは出色。ハウスビート主体にエレキギターの音、壮大なスケールを感じさせるコーラス(?)を乗せたアッパーではないが気持ちよく踊れる曲。ただこのアルバムは音作りの細かさやクオリティの高さという点は最高傑作ともいえるが、中途半端なポップさゆえに長く聴けない作品に感じる。でもケミカルの独特のサウンドは全編に渡って健在。
