2016 release, the 14th studio album from the Grammy Award-winning New Jersey rockers fronted by Jon Bon Jovi. This House Is Not For Sale was produced by Grammy-Award winner John Shanks who worked with the band on Have A Nice Day, which entered the charts at #1 in 15 countries. This is their first major release since What About Now (2013), which was the band s thirdrd consecutive album to enter Soundscan at #1 (following Lost Highway in 2007, and The Circle in 2009). This House Is Not For Sale is the band's first official studio album without longtime guitarist Richie Sambora.

BON JOVIのアルバムというより、ジョンの3rdソロの印象を受けてしまった。リッチーの脱退は小生のような古参ファンには受け入れがたいもの。87年から93年頃の充実した時代が懐かしい。が、流石ジョン。メロディーの素晴らしさは脱帽です。ファンと共に成長するスタンスを見せ付けられると古い考えに固執するバカらしさを思い知らされる。リッチー脱退後の全米ツアーが、過去最高益を記録してファンは答えを出している。我々、日本のファンも答えを出そう！BON JOVIはツアーバンドなのだから！

ここまでアップテンポでキャッチーな作品をこのタイミングでBon Joviがリリースしたことに嬉しい驚きを感じている。リッチーの不在を感じる作品であることは間違いないし、リッチーがいかに優れたギタリストであるかが浮き彫りにもなっている。それでも、フィルはリッチーとは違うアプローチでBon Joviサウンドに新風を吹き込んでいるし、ギターがシンプルなプレイに徹していることでリズム隊のダイナミズムが鮮明になるとともに、デビッドのキーボードの存在感が際立っている印象を受ける。更に、ジョンの円熟味を増した声もサウンドに深みを与えている。 とはいえ、そう思わせているのは、楽曲のメロディの強さに他ならない。特に⑤⑥の流れはBon Joviを長く聴いている方なら思わずニヤリとしてしまうだろう。玄人受けする作品ではないかもしれないけれど、聴いていて気持ちの良い作品である。
