Black Flash

This album was written and recorded between March 2011 and May 2012. The Black Flash is a solo project, and everything was performed or programmed by Jordan Rousseau, except track 4, which has piano by Ryan Iyengar. Track 7 is a cover of a White Stripes song, written by Jack White. Here's what Jordan has to say about the production: 'When I moved back to my hometown in late 2010, after having spent a few years as the vocalist in a progressive rock/metal band in Oregon, I got bored pretty quickly. I've always loved making music, but I was only a singer, and wanted to branch out, so I decided to teach myself guitar, keyboards, and bass. I also had basic knowledge of music production, but I needed to learn a lot more if I was going to do it on my own. The Black Flash was my way of teaching myself how to do these things, and I'm extremely excited with how it turned out. There were a lot of tracks that didn't make the cut, so these ten are what I consider the best songs I had written at the time. I can only hope that you enjoy the album as much as I enjoyed producing it. It was a great learning experience, and I'm happy to share it with the world.'
