評論家やその筋の通のファンからは絶賛されるBettye Lavette。この後、ボブ・ディランのカヴァー集なども出ますが、評価とは裏腹に元歌を重ねてみると今一つ納得いきません。それぞれの解釈の違いで片付けて良いのかもしれませんが、ルシンダ・ウィリアムスのようなオリジナルのプロテストソングも聴きたいと思うのは私だけでしょうか。
