小学校の頃、初めて買ったビートルズのオリ...

小学校の頃、初めて買ったビートルズのオリジナルアルバム。当時青盤を狂ったように聴いていて、その中でジョージの曲が特にお気に入りだったので、②⑦が入っているこのアルバムを買った思い出がある。もちろんLPです。

The BeatlesのAbbey Roadは1969年発表の通算11枚目のアルバム。1曲目のCome Togetherから始まり、最後のHer Majestyまで再後期のビートルズが聞ける。特におススメなのはジョージの名曲Something。もちろん後半のポールによるメドレーもいいが、ジョン・レノンにとってはA面こそが重要だったようだ。

50周年リマスターが出たのであまり聞かなくなったこちらのCDですが、自分の知っているカム・トゥギャザーはこっちのテイクなんだよなぁと悶絶したくなる時がたまにあります。後、ヒア・カムズ・ザ・サンなんかもこっちの方が良かったかもしれない。50周年リマスターは大変いい出来だと思うんですが、自分の記憶しているアビー・ロードはこれからもこっちかなという思いもあります。
