ひょっとして２０世紀を代表するアーティスト、ビートルズの２０世紀最後の作品って本作『イエロー・サブマリン』になるのかしら！？それもチョット凄いけど、何かファンにとってはそれもらしくていいなぁ、なんて少し思ってしまうのです。パスト・マスターズ２のラストが「ユー・ノウ・マイ・ネーム？」みたいな（事後談：結局Beatles 1でしたが）。肝心の内容ですが、とりあえず音がイイ！！　リマスター万歳！　オリジナルのＥＰ的趣きのオモチャっぽさ、ジョージ・マーティンのインスト入りアルバムの風情も捨て難いですが、これはもう新しい作品として楽しむのが正解なのでしょう。
