バルトークの管弦楽曲を集めたCDの最高演奏・録音だと思います。 切れ味の良い、挑むようなショルティの演奏はこれらの曲に最適でしたし、DECCA独特の楽器の分離が良い録音が更に曲の構造を素人の私にでもよくわかるように再現してくれます。 これ以上の演奏・録音は当面はまずは出ないでしょう。

弦楽とチェレスタのための音楽が素晴らしい。この盤以外で、この曲の緊張感や不安な感じが非常にうまく表現されている盤を、私は知らない。 そのほかのバルトーク作品も、さすがショルティという感じである。
