キャリアを通しての最高傑作と後々に言われそうな危険性を孕んだ作品。このバンドの台頭はエモに完全に市民権を与えてしまった。シーンでの認知が高くなればなるほど、エモと呼ばれる事に不快感を示すバンドが増えるのはパンク時代で経験済。そんな事お構い無しに強烈な曲を網羅したこの作品はエモの代表作であり、アンチエモを増大させる結果ともなった。この後、彼等もそんな流れに乗って、退屈な曲を演る事を成長と思い込んだら、もうこれ以上の作品は作れない。そんな事を願いながら「ＷＨＥＮ〜」を聞いたら。。。まあこれからを期待しましょう。将来エモが廃れたとしても、このアルバムが時代を代表する一枚である事は間違いない。
