南アフリカはケープタウン出身で、今もNYで活動を続ける女性ジャズ・シンガー、サティマ・ビー・ベンジャミンの63年に吹き込まれ、そのまま陽の目を見ずにいた作品が、十余年ぶりに再CD化。

2005年リリースの『Dedications』が、「Jazz Next Standards」や「Suburbia Suite」に掲載されるなど、俄然多方面で話題の彼女。

本盤には、夫でもあるアブデューラ・イブラヒム（ダラー・ブランド）（p）、彼女、さらには夫ダラーを見初め、自らのヨーロッパ・ツアーへの同行を促したデューク・エリントン（p）、そして、ビリー ストレイホーン（p）らが参加。1963年チューリッヒ録音。
