キースのピアノ曲が存分に聴ける名盤。派手さはないのでEL＆Pのキースを想定して聴くと肩透かしをくらうかもしれないが、あちこちで聴ける手癖というかエマーソン節がアルバム１枚丸ごと楽しめます。 中でもThe Dreamer(元々80年代の発表当時の曲名はDream Runnerだったがこのアルバムに収録された頃？に改名している)は隠れた人気曲でネットで検索すれば結構な数の演奏動画がヒットする。もともとサントラ用の曲だったがキース自身も気に入っていたのか、３時代のライブではソロコーナーでよく演奏していたようです。ピアノ譜がKM2002年9月号に掲載されているので弾いてみたい方は探してみては。 Honky Tonk Train BluesではOscar Petersonと共演しています。
