2011年『CONTACT』(Verve Forecastから)以来2年ぶりの新作は、お得意のソウル・ジャズにラテン・リズムを導入した意欲作。ゲスト・シンガーに、いずれもフィラデルフィアのニュー・ソウル人脈のRaheem DeVaughn (#5)とThe Floacist（元Floetry）(#8)を招き、トランペットに盟友Rick Braun (#4)を招いて制作された。マサチューセッツ出身。モーリス・デイ、ボビー・コールドウェルのバック・メンバーとして活躍後、1992年にインディ・レーベルから『Trust』でデビュー。これが全米コンテンポラリー・ジャズ・アルバム・チャート最高位8位、1994年『Backbone』、『Boney's Funky Christmas』（ボビー・コールドウェル参加）も大ヒットを記録した。2006年にコンコードへ移籍し、『Shine』（2006年）、『Christmas Present』（2007年）、『Send One Your Love』（2009年）を発表している。(新譜インフォより)
