This is the best album she ever recorded. Many of her Decca and
Columbia recordings left me cold but LOVINGLY describes her work
on this CD. Her very dramatic ”On Second Thought” has never been
sung better and a song cut from SWEET CHARITY, ”Pink Taffeta Sample
Size 10” is a master class on how to sing a song. I am delighted this CD will once again be available. Don’t wait! Buy it right
away.

This is a most welcome reissue. Most of Julie’s singles that were not taken from her albums have never been reissued on LP or CD. This collection will fill in the gap for collectors who want to have everything she ever recorded.

If you don’t have the originals which Toshiba reissued in mini LP format a year ago, this might be an economical way to pick up Julie’s early albums. These are among her best. I still prefer the
Toshiba versions as they include the original artwork and the sound is tops. This is okay for non-purists.

This is the only album Janet Blair recorded which is sad for her fans but luckily this is a terrific album that Dico originally released in 1959. A great late-at-night album of pop standards ably backed by Joe Bushkin. I especially like ”Then You’ve Never
Been Blue” and ”Get Out of Town”. Cheers to LPtime for making this
album available once more.

Julie’s first albums with just a small rhythm section are her best but this one featuring Pete King and His Orchestra is the best of her later albums.. We have come to know Julie because of her smoky interpretations of the ballads. This one contains such great versions of ”Guess Who I Saw Today,” ”End of a Love Affair” and the
title song. Pete King knows how to bring out her torchy voice and make each one of these songs superb. This CD reissue will be most welcome by Julie fans and I am delighted it is being released.
