It’s a great classic rock album.
NANTUCKET SLEIGHRIDE is a great follow-up to CLIMBING!, with all of the same elements present. The band would have some great songs after this album.

One of the gems on the album is the sensitive cover of the anti-war ballad, ”Come Away Melinda” by the 50s folk group, The Weavers. I like that the engineers recorded David Byron on different channels for the parts of the girl and her father.

discovered this along with UFO and UFO LIVE. Extremely good. More adventurous and Progressive than the Michael Schenker years, but still very cool. ”Star Storm” is especially cool.

Fields are an Anglo-Icelandic electronic/indie band formed in London. In early 2006 the band played their first live shows. This sparked a bidding war amongst UK record companies.

Wings Over America (1976) was originally released as a triple album, went to number one on the charts, and is the crowning glory of Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles band, Wings (they released two more albums, then folded).

The album includes 28 songs on 2 discs, and you pretty much get the best of Wings, plus 5 Beatles songs. All sound great, and most are true to the studio versions. The biggest treat is this fantastic version of Maybe I’m Amazed. This is the best ever recording of the song, and it rocks!

UFO, as a band, has gone through more changes than my underwear. I am a UFO fanatic, but recognize only the Michael Schenker era as the ”real” UFO. This Live CD is one of three pre-Schenker CD’s, and it is very amateurish. ”Prince Kajuku/The Coming of Prince Kajuku” is the only attempt at anything complicated musically. ”C’mon Everybody” is a decent rocker but a very basic ”music 101” song. The rest of the songs barely even qualify as songs. The sound quality is good for this context. It is live and of old technology, but clean and bluesy. Mogg and the rest of the band blends well, but if I didn’t know better, I’d never recognize this band as UFO. I have never had a guitar lesson, and I guarantee that I can play as well as Mick Bolton. If you are limited on dollars and want to experiment with UFO for the first time, buy any one of the first four Schenker era CD’s. The man can play faster than you can think, and his melodies are unmatched.

Look At Yourself (1971.), Uriah Heep’s third studio album

Uriah Heep, in the early 1970’s were very much the band which everyone but the fans of the band themselves, loved to hate. They got loads of stick from critics often calling the heavy rock band the ’Poor Man’s Deep Purple’. However, in my opinion, these are particularly unfair criticisms on a band who have produced some excellent music during their career and ’Look at Yourself’, Uriah Heep’s third studio album, released in 1971 stands as one of their finest and most accomplished efforts.

This CD is his first and best ever. In the first song, Stranglehold, Ted’s guitar playing is beyond belief. Other great songs included on this album are Stormtroopin’, Just What the Doctor Ordered and Snakeskin Cowboys. The extra tracks include live versions of Stormtroopin’, Just What the Dr. Ordered and Motor City Mad House. Also live is Magic Party, which I didn’t care for much, but one song out a whole album is not bad! Do yourself a favor...take a trip back to the 70’s.

Cat Scratch Fever is a fantastic album and along with his self-titled debut are Ted Nugent’s best solo albums. Although he was better known for his live shows, wicked guitar playing, and wildman image, Ted wrote some of the best hard rock songs of the late 70’s and several of them are featured here.

This is my favorite album of miracles include the song city of angels and love machine. is a concept album, depicting of a man from ”Anytown, U.S.A.” who follows his estranged girlfriend Charlotte to Los Angeles, where she has gone in hopes of becoming a star. All of the tracks on the album were written by Billy Griffin and Miracles bass singer Pete Moore. Freddie Perren and Moore served as the album’s producers.

The follow-up album to ”Demons and Wizards”, recorded in the same year, and while still touring constantly (a grueling pace that was to lead to problems down the road for many of the members), this album maintains the quality of its legendary predecessor.

When I first heard this album (it was my first Skynyrd record), just after few listenings I made a state that this is best rock’n’roll album of all time. Ofcourse, you can’t pick just one album as the all-time best, as there are a few dosens of them.

I buy this album because I recently have taken an interest in Tommy Bolin ans was curious about is early recordings. This album impressed me and made me want to run to tape up and windows.

On this album you are treated to montrose’s Gibson Les Paul guitar roaring like a motorcycle or screaming with almonst impossible sustain.
