In 1978, Sarah Brightman, then 18, made a UK Top 10 hit with the disco-pop single "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper"as a member of the pop group Hot Gossip. Nobody then expected that the Berkhampstead, England-born girl would turn out to be a Broadway star and worldwide pop diva aka "The Angel Of Music".

It was 1981 that her success kicked off as she won a part in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats, which earned her the starring role in Phantom of the Opera, Song And Dance, Requiem, and other productions by the London's famed musical composer. During her six-year marriage to Webber, Brightman achieved international fame in musical theater, as well as chart success, this time as operatic singer, with such hits as "The Phantom Of The Opera", "All I Ask Of You" and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again".

With her partnership with Webber drawing to an end, Brightman launched her career as a solo performer with 1989's "The Songs That Got Away". While continuing her success in Broadway, she released a number of solo albums, including "As I Come Of Age" ('90), "Dive" ('93), "Fly" ('95), "Time To Say Goodbye" ('98), "Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection" ('99), "Eden" ('99), and "La Luna" ('00). "Time To Say Goodbye", which featured her reinterpretations of classical and show tune s, became a huge success and the title track, the duet with the blind Tuscan tenor Andrea Bocelli, topped the charts throughout Europe. On "Eden" she expanded a variety of covers to include the Kansas' rock classic "Dust In The Wind", transforming it into her trademark lush theatrical ballad. She continued a superb mix of operatic tunes and pop music on "La Luna".

Her latest studio album "Harem", now on sale in Japan, showcases her ethereal vocal abilities without equal in the world and her creative skill without doubt.
