Product Description

Surrounded by a room of ballroom dancers and backed by a 15-piece orchestra, Carly Simon taped two nights of concerts on the Queen Mary 2 in early September of 2005. The six-day voyage (from New York City to Southampton, England) onboard the most famous ocean liner in the world was documented for the DVD by veteran concert filmographer Jim Gable, and also includes behind the scenes footage and an acoustic set performed with daughter Sally Taylor. Recorded in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound.

日本に果たして彼女のファンはどのくらいいるのでしょうか？私は高校生の時に（ノー・シークレット）と言うレコードを購入。（虚ろな愛）が大好きだった。 もう30年以上前の話である。ジェームス・テイラーと結婚、彼の来日ステージにピアノを前に一曲だけ歌ってくれて嬉しかった思い出がある。それにしても彼女の映像は変わった（素敵な）場所が多い。故郷の美しい港町での特設ステージ（アメリカでリージョン1のDVDがあったが現在廃盤）、NYのグランド・セントラル（未DVD）、そして今回は豪華客船。年齢とキャリアを重ねたステージはスタンダード・ナンバーを中心に（カミング・アラウンド・アゲイン）などのお馴染みのセット・リストだ。また船室にてアコギによる（ディス・イズ・マイ・ライフ）も微笑ましい。普段はNYのセントラル・パークを見下ろすアパート（日本流に言うと高級マンションである）で子供達と静かに暮らしている。そんなライフ・スタイルも含め私は彼女の大ファンである。
