Lang Lang first began exploring this masterpiece more than 20 years ago and presents this record as the outcome of a long personal and emotional journey. ランランの演奏を個性的というのは、あまり...

ランランの演奏を個性的というのは、あまりにも音楽を知らなすぎる批評である。グールドとは対極にある演奏を個性的というのは「糞も味噌も」一緒にした単なる感想の域を出ていない。ランランの演奏は若さ余って「力任せに」演奏することが「バッハの演奏解釈」と誤解しているようである。バッハの作品が和声法に頼らず、対位法の局地を作品として残したものであることは、自明である。 二段鍵盤のハープシコードの作品をピアノで演奏すること自体、無理がある。その点をどのように咀嚼して演奏するかは演奏者の力量となる。このCDの録音は、オンマイクでとても聞きにくい録音である。このような演奏と録音が２１世紀の主流となることはないであろう。ゴールドベルク変奏曲は、グールドをはじめシフ、ケンプ、ヒューイット、ペライア、タローなど数多く出されている。したがって演奏批評も百花総論である。ランランの一番の欠点は装飾音符を実音と同様に演奏している事である。装飾音符はあくまで装飾音符であり実音ではない。この点を弾き分けられないとこのような力任せの演奏になってしまう。ライブの演奏を聞いたが、こちらの方が遥かに優れた演奏と録音である。ライブを星二つ、セッションは星一つとしたい。

ロマンティックでかなり個性的な演奏です。バッハ演奏はこうあるべきといった声など意に介さず、自分の演奏で貫かれています。変奏ごとに緩急差が激しいのですがまったく違和感がない。緩においても弛むことは皆無で、弱音の使い方など大変な魅力で、それによってむしろ緊張感がみなぎります。　　※まだスタジオ録音しか聴いていませんがこの感動ですから、ライヴ録音がまた楽しみです。
