With her three previous albums all topping the chart, singer/songwriter Hitomi Yaida has delivered another collection of pop gems, 'Air/Cook/Sky'. For the first time in her career, she parted with her production team Diamond Head and did it herself. This latest offering is her most accessible to date, showcasing her more mature vocal and heartfelt lyrics on daily activities in which she finds musical inspiration. Still, 'Air/Cook/Sky' retains the artist's energy throughout. Four lead singles aside, highlights include melodic 'Slide Away', light-hearted 'Hello' and sublime yet wistful 'Kono Koiwa Mo Shimatte Shimao'.

一番初めに聞いたアルバムが自分のヤイコベ...

一番初めに聞いたアルバムが自分のヤイコベストのCandlizeだったからどうしてもそれと比べてしまう。良い曲もあれば飛ばしてしまう曲もある。「見えない光」「一人ジェンガ」「この恋はもう〜」などの初めと終わりが好きです。中盤はイマイチ。 Yaiko Rocksというタイトルにしてはロックをあまり感じれなかったのが残念。

やっぱりヤイコ最高だなって思った１枚。 前に比べてずいぶん身近に感じる曲が集まった気がします！歌詞も共感できたり…。 とにかく聞いてみる価値はあると思います♪
