ロサンゼルス(ベイシティ)を舞台に展開する、三人の刑事と一人の情報屋のドラマ。1975年から4年間にわたってABC系列で放映された。日本ではTBSで1977年より放映された。二人の対照的な個性と軽快な会話に加えて、派手なアクションやカーチェイスが注目を集め、放映を開始して数ヶ月たらずで番組は一世を風靡した。当時無名に近かった二人の俳優、デビッド・ソウル（ハッチ）とール・マイケル・グレイザー（スタスキー）は本作で一躍ハリウッドのスターダムにのし上がった。見どころはスタスキーの愛車,白のストライプが入った赤いトリノと、刑事二人の友情エピソード。

ついに出てしまいましたね！「スタハチ」のボックスセット！！ 思い起こせば中学生の頃、 テレビにかじりついて見てました。 因みに私はハッチ派でした （声が高岡健二さんだったこともありますが）
