    一応、小学生高学年以上が対象の本ですが、「ワルツ王の知られざる生涯」には書かれていない逸話や兄弟とのやり取りなど、ヨハン・シュトラウスⅡに関する書物が少ない現状では本書も貴重な情報源になっています。シュトラウス管弦楽団の立ち上げに関しては前述の書籍とは違う見解が示されてますが、子供向け書籍である点を考慮すれば、その点も理解出来るでしょう。ヨハン・シュトラウスⅡの生涯に興味のある方には、とりあえず彼の生涯を浅く、幅広く概観できる書としてお薦めできます。
