アイルランドのディラン＆ローリングサンダーレビュー。 時代に一瞬煌めきを放ったが、その後停滞〜解散 現在は、ボーカルのマイク・スコットのユニットとして再活動中。 初期はニューウエーブのディランと言う佇まいであったが このアルバムで、突如アイリッシュ・トラッドのミュージシャンが参加 圧倒的な緊張感と存在感を携えたバンドに変貌。 さすがにデジタルリマスターの恩恵はあまり感じないが アウトテイクのDisc-2がなかなか興味深い 当時のバンドに勢いと創作意欲が溢れていた証拠である やはりこのアルバムの頃の彼らは別格

ちょうど、ピンクフロイドで言えば、「炎」にあたるように、それまでの上昇気流からちょっと立ち止まったかのような印象を与えるアルバム。曲の出来不出来が激しいが（というより渋いトラッド曲が多い）、「盗まれた子供」は、あるプロデューサーが自分の子供を早くに亡くし、葬式の時にずっとかけていたというほどの聖なる静謐さに満ちた名曲。へたな癒し系なんかよりこっちのが断然いいぞ。
