Formed in 1981, Slayer was one of the founding ‘Big 4’ thrash-metal bands that rose to prominence with the popularity of the form in the early eighties.Alongside Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth, Slayer reached a huge audience and has sold more than 5 million albums in the USA alone. But after almost 40years at rock’s top table, in January 2018 Slayer announced their farewell tour, currently in progess, and following which the band plans to disband. This CDfeatures a classic live show from Slayer, previously unavailable on CD, recorded on the 1994 Monsters Of Rock Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Taken from alive transmission of the show broadcast nationally across both TV and FM Radio at the time , this gig remains a classic concert in Slayer’s live catalogue andwill prove a fitting tribute to a band who have, across four decades, provided so much inspiration and influence to so many.
